Rashid Iqbal has over 25 years of global semiconductor industry experience, specializing in full Physical Design (PD) execution from RTL to GDSII, Static Timing Analysis (STA), and high-performance SoC verification. As Vice President of Physical Design at GSME, he leads the division responsible for advanced physical implementation, timing closure, and sign-off flows down to leading-edge 2nm technology nodes.

Prior to joining GSME, Rashid built a distinguished international career spanning major technology hubs in Germany, Ireland, and the United States. This includes an 18+ year tenure at Intel Corporation, where he served as a Physical Design Lead and Manager for complex, server-class processors, followed by a role as Senior Principal Engineer at Cadence Design Systems leading advanced timing methodologies for major enterprise accounts.

A world-renowned physical design expert and thought leader, Rashid has driven tons of production tapeouts and is the creator of "Chip Design with Rashid," a premier digital curriculum teaching ASIC architecture, microarchitecture, RTL, Physical Design, STA, and signoff closure to engineers globally. He holds a BSEE from Pakistan and an MSEE from Sweden.
