Position Overview

GMSE is seeking a versatile Graphic Designer to create high quality visual and social media content across LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other platforms. This role combines design and digital marketing by producing graphics, short form videos, animations, and event materials while supporting product launches and industry events in the semiconductor space. Candidates should have 1 to 3 years of experience, strong storytelling and design skills, proficiency with Canva, Figma, and Adobe Creative Suite, and the ability to interpret social performance data. Experience in tech or semiconductor environments and familiarity with engaging developer or engineering audiences is a plus. This position will begin as a contractor role with the opportunity to transition into a full-time employee position. Compensation is $30 to $40 dollars per hour depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, create, and publish high quality social media content across LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging platforms relevant to the tech audience.

  • Support social campaigns for product launches, feature updates, events 

  • Track, analyze, and report on social media performance to optimize engagement, reach, and follower growth 

  • Produce lightweight multimedia assets (graphics, short videos, reels, animations) using tools like Canva, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Event marketing by assisting with conference banners, booth graphics, signage, and digital media.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Public Relations, or a related field.

  • 1–3 years of experience in social media marketing, digital marketing, or communications — preferably within a technology, SaaS, or startup environment.

  • Experience in a semiconductor environment. 

  • Strong writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify and humanize technical concepts.

  • Experience managing social platforms and understanding platform best practices, growth strategies, and analytics.

  • Ability to interpret performance data and use insights to refine content and posting strategies.

  • Familiarity with social media management tools.

  • Ability to translate ideas into clear, visually appealing designs.

  • Proven experience as a Graphic Designer or similar role

  • Bonus: Certifications in social media marketing, digital strategy, or analytics (e.g., Meta Blueprint, HubSpot, Google Analytics).

Preferred:

  • Experience producing short-form video content (Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts) tailored to tech and B2B audiences 

  • Experience with CMS tools, and digital design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD

  • Basic understanding of SEO, paid social campaigns, A/B testing, and content optimization.

  • Understanding of how to engage developer, engineering, or IT audiences through platform appropriate content

  • Creativity and visual storytelling

  • Adaptability and receptiveness to feedback.
